I just saw a post on Facebook, a picture from a friend, back in 1996. I was working in San Francisco, at the NAMES Project, the AIDS Memorial Quilt. You can google it. Fascinating time in our history, sooo glad and lucky that I was a part of it. For two years I was the Merchandising Director,…

I don’t get this self esteem thing. I mean I GET it but have you not read your own wonderfully written blog? YOU are a survivor as much as any of the individuals you have mentioned as inspiration in these installments. You survived when there was no way out. You removed yourself when there finally was. And yes there were speed bumps but given what you had to work with you have done a phenomenal job of survival and growth —of making ends meet and making your own way. Be proud of what you have accomplished. Not many have the balls to do what you did nor the wits to keep on keepin on like you have. Give credit where credit is due. You had you at “Goodbye”. At the tender age of 16. Kudos to you.
